If you only have one day to get to know São Miguel, this tour was made for you. There’s no need to rush around — we take you to the truly memorable places, letting you enjoy each spot at your own pace, without any hurry.
Vista do Rei Viewpoint (Sete Cidades)
We start the day at an iconic lookout: the spot where the Sete Cidades lake looks straight out of a postcard. Anyone who’s been here gets it — it’s a view that speaks for itself, whether you’re a local or just passing through.
Lagoa do Fogo
Then it’s up to the highest point on the island. Lagoa do Fogo is a place apart: sometimes shrouded in mist, other times showing off its deep blue. Most people go quiet here — some places just need to be felt, not described.
Santa Iria Viewpoint
Before we move on, we stop to look out from Santa Iria, where the coastline of the north stretches far beneath you. This is one of those spots where you just want to lean on the railing and lose yourself in the view.
Gorreana Tea
We visit Gorreana — not just for a cup of tea, but to soak up the atmosphere of the old factory and the scent of fresh leaves. Take a moment to enjoy your tea while looking out over the endless rows of tea plants rolling down the hillsides.
Ribeira dos Caldeirões (Nordeste)
In the Nordeste region, we take a detour into the Caldeirões park. The sound of the waterfalls — especially at Véu da Noiva — makes the rest of the world fade away for a while.
Pico do Ferro Viewpoint
Further on, we climb to Pico do Ferro. The view over Furnas village and its lake demands a photo, but being there in person is something else.
Furnas
Here, the landscape changes: we reach the fumaroles and feel the earth’s warmth and the unique scent that defines Furnas. It’s a place where nature, science, and tradition all come together.
On the way back to Ponta Delgada, we cross the south coast and make a final stop at Vila Franca do Campo, the island’s first capital. The view of the islet and the Senhora da Paz chapel invites silence — the sort of moment when all you want to do is breathe it in and save it for later.
– If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll adapt the route — we always make sure you get the best of the island.
– Lunch is not included, but there are several stops where you can buy snacks or something light to eat.
– Minimum 2 participants.
