The day begins with a visit to the traditional pineapple plantations, where together we will discover the process developed in these glasshouses.
We continue towards the Seven Cities in the western part of the island.
We started walking through the “9 janelas” (the old aqueduct), where we crosse a dense Japanese cedar forest (Cryptomeria japonica), for 1 km. We continue on the top edge of the crater for 9 km, where you will have the opportunity to see some of the most beautiful views of the island.
A picnic will be held throughout the day. Once the walk around the crater ends, we descend on a 2 km “”Levada””, a path rich in vegetation with incredible shades of green, to reach the parish of the Seven Cities.
A break of comfort will happen sooner and we will return to Ponta Delgada. During this break, you can swim in the beautiful blue lagoon.
